Marsala is a Sicilian wine - and a must for authentic Tiramisu

Marsala wine is a fortified wine. During the fermentation process, the wine is oxidized to change the flavor of the wine; after the fermentation, wine spirits or spirits are added to increase the alcohol concentration.

Around one day in 1773, the British merchant John Woodhouse's ship was passing through Sicily and was forced to berth at the port of Marsala due to bad weather, waiting to set sail again.
