Tinazzi
Located in the Puglia region of southern Italy, the wine cellar of the Santa Croce of Tinaghi has become an outstanding estate producing internationally rated wines, focusing on producing various well-known wines, such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, etc.
Initially, Tinazzi was a small business producing mainly wines from Verona and selling them locally. With years of hard work and sales growth, the business expanded to Lombardy and the whole of northern Italy. Now its wines have been dumped throughout Europe, America, and Asia. The company currently owns 72 hectares of vineyards. Presently managed by the founder's son, Gian Andrea, and his grandsons, Giorgio and Francesca, respectively, the Tinagi San wine cellar in Puglia has become an outstanding estate producing internationally rated wines.
Equipped with modern winemaking and drying equipment, it produces famous products such as Amarone Della Valpolicella and Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso.
Giorgio is committed to perfecting the vineyards and establishing irrigation systems. In recent years, it has used innovative technologies to collect water, combined with traditional methods of growing grapes, but also by the pruning method (Guyot) and the conventional Puglia shrub (Alberello) to cultivate, which significantly improved the quality of its grapes.
It mainly produces exceptional Puglia wines. The Tinaghi family bought the estate in 2001, now the most significant estate in southern Puglia, managed by grandson Giorgio. The star product, Primitivo di Manduria LXXIV, has been nominated for two consecutive years (2014 and 2015) among the 100 best wines in the world selected by the most authoritative wine professional magazine "wine spectator" in the United States. The Tinazzi family mainly owns two vineyards, Tinazzi - Feudo Croce and Tinazzi - CA' DE' ROCCHI. Tinaghi San Cade Lodge is located in Lazise, province of Verona, in the center of Valpolicella, the juicing cellar of Sant' Ambrogio, while Tinaghi Santa Croce is a beautiful farmhouse located in Carosino, in the Puglia region. Close to the Salento peninsula, it produces mainly excellent Puglia wines.
Negroamaro
Negroamaro is a red wine grape variety native to southern Italy. It is grown almost exclusively in Apulia and particularly in Salento, the peninsula which can be visualised as the "heel" of Italy. The grape can produce wines very deep in color. Wines made from Negroamaro tend to be very rustic in character, combining perfume with an earthy bitterness. The grape produces some of the best red wines of Apulia, particularly when blended with the highly scented Malvasia Nera, as in the case of Salice Salentino.
Puglia
The Puglia region, located in the east of Italy, has a very long winemaking history and a unique local grape variety. Puglia is the second-largest wine producer in Italy, after Veneto. Puglia has always been considered one of Italy's most important wine regions.
Puglia has a Mediterranean climate, the soil is rich in calcium, and the topsoil is rich in iron, which is very suitable for grape growing. With year-round sunshine and a dry climate, Puglia is the place to be if you're looking for a red wine with ripe fruit and rich aromas.
Most Puglia red wines are ripe, full-bodied, and pair well with spiced meats. Puglia's wine producers all have one thing in common; they focus on producing indigenous grape varieties, such as Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Bombino Nero.
